Comment on Orphan Lane becoming a one-way

The City of Cape Town has proposed to turn Orphan Lane into a one-way.

The public have until next week to comment on whether Orphan Lane, between Bree and Loop Streets, should become a one-way street.

The public participation process closes on Friday August 6.

The City of Cape Town’s transport directorate made the proposal due to a new development in the vicinity and to allow improved traffic flow.

The City’s Public Participation Unit will assist people who cannot read or write, people living with disabilities and those who are unable to submit written comments, to have their comments or input recorded and submitted to the City.

Public comments and objections can be submitted to Siyanda.Dywili@capetown.gov.za or online at www.capetown.gov.za/haveyoursay

Written submissions can be addressed to 11th Floor, Wale Street, Cape Town, 8000.
