Skin is the canvas at tattoo convention

The South African International Tattoo Convention took place over the weekend at The Lookout at the Waterfront. About 150 artists from around the world offered tattoos of different styles, and guests could get inked on the spot.

Artist Tarzan Tribe, from Bali, does a head tattoo with the hand-poking tattoo method on Wayne Magee, from Johannesburg.

Jacqui Naris Mulu, from Durbanville, sits for a tattoo with Cape Town artist Garith Lloyd.
