■ During October, the Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront has turned one room pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The pink room forms part of the Radisson Blu’s global campaign to support breast cancer awareness and research. Vanessa Mayer of Radisson Blu said all 290 Radisson Blu hotels across the world are participating. Ms Mayer said the campaign originated in Western Europe, and this was the first year that the initiative went global. She said guests were more than welcome to stay in the pink room. “We wanted to create a pink experience, from the specifically reserved parking space right in front of the hotel to a pink turn-down service. And of course, the room is one of the best ones in the hotel with stunning views of the ocean.” A portion of the room revenue will be donated to a non-profit organisation who works to raise awareness for the cause.
