SboNdaba Dance, based at the Observatory Methodist Church, will give free performances on Saturday December 2 in the Company’s Garden, in the city centre; on Sunday December 3 at Zandvlei Park in Lakeside; and on Saturday December 16 at Green Point Park in Green Point. All shows start at 2pm.
Together with their outreach groups from Khayelitsha, Elsies Rivier, Nyanga, Philippi and Atlantis, SboNdaba Dance will present Dancing with Nature.
The company is made up of 15 youth, all dancers from townships including Philippi, Gugulethu, Eerste River and Langa.
The season has been directed by artistic director and award-winning choreographer, Sbonakaliso Ndaba, with the assistance of company members and outreach teachers Lusindiso Dibela, Sinazo Mxeli, Sive Stali, Clayton Jannike, Akhona Mpoza, Mthetheleli Dlakavu and Lolwethu Sdumo.
