The Ivan Mazuze quintet will be at the Crypt Jazz Restaurant, 1 Wale Street, tonight, Thursday August 18, from 8pm.
The award-winning saxophonist and composer Ivan Mazuze, pictured, from Mozambican, is now based in Norway.
The compositions are inspired by African urban soundscapes together with modern drumming tradition. Mazuze is on saxophone, Dave Ledbetter on guitar, Frank Paco on drums, Peter Ndlala on bass and Sifiso Makalisa on piano.
* Congolese band Afro Fiesta will perform on Friday and Saturday August 19 and 20.
