Changing faces

■ Behind the Curtain, a solo exhibition by Johnny Lai Sang, will show at the Amplify Studio in Loop Street, until tomorrow, Friday October 13. Behind the Curtain is the result of the last seven years spent covering the various fashion-week events in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Johnny was primarily shooting “ramp”, but he became bored of the limitations of shooting from the photographers’ pit at the end of the ramp. He since became a familiar face at these events and managed to get back-stage access. Behind the curtains and off-limits to most attendees, the glam and chaos of fashion week are juxtaposed and the real magic happens. The Amplify Studio is open weekday from 9am to 5pm.
