October is dedicated to sharksOctober is dedicated to celebrating sharks
It’s Sharktober at the Two Oceans Aquarium.
This month celebrates sharks, which are often portrayed as vicious hunters, scary stalkers or single-minded predators, but what really makes these misunderstood animals tick?
Throughout October, the aquarium will blog and answer all shark-related questions you may have – how smart are sharks? Can they swim backwards? Are there really 117 kinds of South African shark?
As part of the celebration, the aquarium will also welcome it’s new partner in conservation awareness, the Save Our Seas Foundation.
Together, the will aim to promote education and conservation around these often endangered sea animals and have named the largest exhibit the Save Our Seas Foundation Shark Exhibit, in honour of the new partnership.
