The Rotary Club of Claremont is in desperate need of volunteers to make sleeping bags for the homeless as the weather is becoming very cold and wet.
The bags are specially made for the project and the Rotary Club of Claremont donates the material (except for newspapers) to anyone willing to make them.
Our instruction video, which is very easy to follow, is available on YouTube as the Claremont Rotary Projects Good Night & and God Bless Sleeping Bag.
To date, volunteers have made over 70 000, which have gone to night shelters and the service dining rooms.
This is a temporary emergency measure to keep the homeless warm and dry, and, together with a blanket, would just make such a difference to hundreds.
