Woman arrested for drug dealing

Police found180 mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R10 000, two packets of tik and R1 530 in a shack.

Cape Town Central police arrested a woman for drug dealing on Tuesday March 8 at the Foreshore.

Police spokesperson Captain Ezra October said officers followed a tip off about drug dealing in Christian Barnard Street.

“After doing observation, police saw the woman suspiciously serving something, with many people approaching her at the informal tent structure.”

He said when the officers searched the tent, they found 180 mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R10 000, two packets of tik, and money in coins to the value of R1 530.

The woman was arrested and charged with possession of drugs.
