The Warren Michael Foundation was launched at the The Vue Sky Bar and Lounge in the CBD, on Monday January 10. The foundation, which raises awareness about diabetes, was started by Colleen Webb-Burgess, the mother of Warren Michael van Buuren, who was in his 30s when he died in July last year from complications related to the illness. Family and friends also observed what would have been Mr Van Buuren’s 36th birthday. Reporter MIKA WILLIAMS took the pictures.
