The South African premiere of Shakespeare in Love opened at the Fugard theatre on Wednesday October 18. Featuring 20 actors, the largest cast since the theatre complex opened in 2011, and mixed breed dog Bogart who was a stray prior to taking to the boards in his professional debut.
With lead actors Dylan Edy and Roxanne Hayward, the comedy is written by Lee Hall and adapted from the Oscar-winning (1999) screenplay by Tom Stoppard and Marc Norman, now under resident director Greg Karvellas the production is showing until Saturday November 25.
