Cape Town Central police, with the Western Cape Transport Department and the Road Traffic Infringement Agency, had an awareness drive at the transport hubs of the Cape Town CBD on Friday, April 8.
During a walkabout on the Station Deck and the Golden Arrow Bus Terminus, they informed commuters, taxi drivers and bus drivers about road safety and extortion. Pamphlets were also distributed.
The station commander of Cape Town Central police, Brigadier Marius Stander, commended the efforts of the police and other departments for engaging with the public about these issues.
- The Cape Town Central police will host a liquor forum meeting at the City Hall on Wednesday April 20 from 3pm to 4.45pm. All liquor licence holders and interested parties are encouraged to attend.
