■ Robben Island Museum in partnership with the African World Heritage Fund (AWHF) hosted the sixth annual co-ordination meeting of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural organisation (UNESCO) World Heritage – related category 2 institutes and centres (C2C) from Sunday February 11 until Wednesday February 14. The meeting saw an assembly of the UNESCO World Heritage organisations discussing strategies to conserve and protect World Heritage sites, such as Robben Island. The purpose of this meeting was to reflect on the work of UNESCO and to address aspects of nature conservation and protecting cultural properties. Delegates who took part included advisory bodies and world heritage centres from Bahrain, Brazil, China, Mexico, Spain and South Africa. Pictured are the delegates from C2C.
