The City of Cape Town is investigating the possibility of implementing the sale of MyCiti products at the Golden Arrow Bus terminus kiosk.
But despite the MyCiti information signage already up at the kiosk, the service has not yet started.
The City’s Mayco member for transport, Brett Herron, said:”The City is now investigating the possibility of Golden Arrow operating the kiosk by selling MyCiTi products exclusively in the peak travel periods and both Golden Arrow and MyCiTi products during the off-peak travel periods.”
Mr Herron said that the office was being constructed, and is not being used while the negotiations with Golden Arrow is ongoing.
He said the office belonged to the City, but was being leased to Golden arrow.
The office is expected to start operating from January next year, and it is envisaged that the kiosk will sell MyCiTi myconnect cards and all of the other MyCiTi products such as Mover points during the peak travel periods and both Golden Arrow and MyCiTi products in the off-peak.
