Museum night

Former pharmacist, Nathan Finkelstein, teaches museum visitors about the history of pharmaceuticals at the Cape Medical Museum.

Museums at the V&A Waterfront stayed open after hours and offered free admission for Museum Night  on June 27. Participating museums included the Iziko Maritime Centre, Chavonnes Battery Museum, Cape Medical Museum, Robben Island Jetty 1 Museum, Nelson Mandela Gateway, African Trading Port, and Circa Gallery & Everard Read. Two Oceans Aquarium and Zeits MOCAA also offered admission at half price. Museums also hosted speakers and musical performances throughout the night. The museum night is an initiative of the V&A Waterfront and Thursdays Projects, with Iziko Museums of South Africa as a founding partner.
