MEX18 focused on all things digital

Music Exchange (MEX18), an entertainment economy-focused conference, takes place on Saturday September 1 and Sunday September 2 at the Academy of Sound Engineering studio complex, Sun Square, Mill Street, Gardens.

With MEX18’s focus around all things digital, including the streaming economy, Abbey Rd Studio’s Christian Wright, along with Mahogany’s Mark Murdoch will unpack the relationships between record labels, managers and the audiences they each appeal to.

Music Exchange will also be hosting showcases with slots available tomorrow, Friday August 31 at the launch evening, from 6pm to 8pm, as well as two slots on Saturday, after day one of the conference, before RJ Benjamin and Chad Alexander perform.

The artists who perform must be able to do vocals and guitar, or vocals and piano or djembe drum.

Tickets for MEX18 are available through Quicket.

One-day tickets cost R300. Full conference tickets, for both days, cost R500.
