Mediclinic closes mobile testing station

The mobile testing station for Covid-19 that was based at Mediclinic Cape Town has been closed.

The facility said it was experiencing very low numbers of patients requiring assistance, and decided to close down.

Hospital General Manager, Michelle Africa, said: “However, we would like to reassure any individual still requiring testing that they are able to get a referral from their GP who will direct them to the independent pathology service for testing.”

Meanwhile, the Western Cape has 76 067 confirmed Covid-19 cases.

Nationally, 564 000 people have been infected with the virus which has claimed 10 621 lives.
