Cape Town Central police need help to find a man, said to be in his late 20s, who allegedly raped a woman on Friday May 8 in Culemborg.
Police released an identikit of the man who was last seen wearing a black cap and jacket. He is slender, has two scars, and a tattoo on his left arm.Â
According to police, the man accompanied the woman to town by taxi as she was not familiar with the area, and he said he would show her where she needs to go.Â
He instead took her to the train yard, where he allegedly threatened her with two knives, robbed her of her money and raped her.

In a separate case, a Harrington Street resident was caught in possession of a knife on Tuesday, July 21, on his way to attack two people who allegedly robbed him on the Station Deck.Â
Captain Ezra October said the man was arrested after he was found with a 34cm panga blade. He said he was on his way to confront members of the gang who robbed him.Â
In another incident, a man was arrested for dealing in dagga on Monday, July 20. Captain October said officers were on patrol when they saw a man putting money in his waist bag. When the police approached him, he started running, and police caught him on the corner of Strand and Adderley streets.Â
Upon searching him, police confiscated eight bank bags of dagga to the street value of R240.Â
Later on the same day, a man selling alcohol was arrested after police caught one of his buyers. Police noticed a man in Long Street carrying a bag acting suspiciously, and upon searching him, they found eight 750ml bottles of beer. The seller was arrested soon after. Â
