A man believed to be in his 50s died in a collision involving three vehicles on Helen Suzman Boulevard in Cape Town on Thursday September 22. ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing Harduth said it is understood that traffic officials who attended to the incident found the man in a light delivery vehicle that was involved in the collision. His vital signs had deteriorated, and they tried to assist by initiating CPR. He said ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and took over CPR. “Sadly, there was nothing that could be done for the man. He was declared dead.” The exact cause of the incident is unknown. An autopsy will determine the exact cause of death. All other people involved in the incident refused hospital treatment.
