Making their voices heard

Hundreds of Capetonians gathered at the Cape Town Civic Centre, over the weekend, to call on government to take responsibility for the water crisis.

Numerous issues were raised, including the installation of water management devices, the use of groundwater and the increased water tariffs.
Representatives of about 70 civil organisations united under the banner of the Water Crisis Coalition.
Residents gathered at the Civic Centre to voice their concerns about the draft Water Amendment By-law on Sunday January 28.
