Lion’s Head summit reopened

Strict rules apply on the newly reopened Lions Head summit trails.

South African National Parks (SANParks) reopened Lion’s Head summit last Wednesday, September 9.

They are encouraging users to adhere to the lockdown restrictions and SANParks rules to avoid possible re-closure of the area.

The following protocols have been put in place:

Limitations of user numbers may be imposed at the sergeant ranger’s discretion.

Maintain social distancing by at least 1.5m at all times.

Users accessing the summit must wear their masks at all times.

Users are to sanitise their hands before and after making use of the staples, ladder or chain area of Lion’s Head.
