Fagmee Jacobs, an officer with the City of Cape Town’s Environmental and Heritage Branch, facilitated the Slave Heritage Walk of Cape Town on Tuesday September 13. A group of City of Cape Town interns were taken on a walking tour, visiting various heritage sites within the CBD, including the Slave Auction Tree, the building which once housed the Race Classification Board and the historical Church Square. This outing formed part of the City’s Heritage Month programme for 2016. Pictured are the group of City of Cape Town interns in Spin Street during the Slave Heritage Walk.
