On Friday February 2, law enforcement officers arrested a 38-year-old man on the Grand Parade for selling fake DVDs, and a 24-year-old man for possession of 24 packets of dagga. Two undocumented immigrants were also arrested.
On Saturday February 3, the Metro police camera response unit followed up on information regarding drug dealing on corner of Riebeeck and Loop streets.
When the officers searched a man, identified through CCTV video footage, they found nine units of tik in his possession and arrested him.
On Monday February 5, while on patrol in Green Point, the Cape Town Central Crime Prevention Unit received a tip-off about a suspected drug dealer.
Officers acted on this information and arrested a 48-year-old Austrian national for possession with the intent to distribute various drugs, including dagga, ecstasy, cocaine, mushrooms and tik with an estimated street value of R150 000.
