Zeitz MOCAA celebrates museums and Africa with free entry

The Zeitz MOCAA will extend its free Wednesdays by an hour in celebration of International Museum Day and Africa Day

The Zeitz MOCCAA museum at the Silo District in the V&A Waterfront will celebrate International Museum Day, marked annually on or around May 18, with free entry on Wednesday, from 10am to 2pm.

The museum will also be offering free entry on Wednesday May 25, which marks Africa Day, from 10am to 2pm.

The first 100 visitors to Ocular Lounge on level 6 will also receive a free cup of coffee.

The museum is usually free every Wednesday until 1pm for all citizens from African countries, however, they have extended it by an hour on these celebratory days.

African citizens visiting for free on any Wednesday should present a valid South African ID or an African passport for free entry.

The Centre for Art Education (CFAE) team at the museum will also have activities for kids and adults beneath the track shed at the entrance to the museum.
