The museum is usually free every Wednesday until 1pm for all citizens from African countries, however, they have extended it by an hour on these celebratory days.
African citizens visiting for free on any Wednesday should present a valid South African ID or an African passport for free entry.
The Centre for Art Education (CFAE) team at the museum will also have activities for kids and adults beneath the track shed at the entrance to the museum.
