■ The annual Up the Creek music festival takes place on the banks of the Breede River in Swellendam from Thursday January 26 to Sunday January 29. Twenty-one acts have been confirmed for this year’s festival, among them Jack Parow and the Happy Boys Minstrels, pictured, Dan Patlansky, The Black Cat Bones, Albert Frost, Rubber Duc, and many more. All tickets are R970 which includes full access for the entire weekend (Thursday to Sunday). There are no day passes and no under-18s will be allowed.
