Symphony choir

■ Cape Town Symphony Choir will perform at the Silo District opposite The Yard restaurant, alongside Zeitz MOCAA, in a free musical concert tomorrow, Friday March 2, at 7pm. The Cape Town Symphony Choir, which became an independent body in 1992, has performed major choral works locally and across the world. Joining them will be the Gentleman’s Ensemble, a 12-piece male group from Gugulethu as well as a small chamber ensemble of backing musicians. The choir will perform a wide variety of traditional African Choral works, as well as excerpts from The Messiah by Handel, Mozart, Hummel, Brahms and Beethoven to name a few. On the night, visitors will also be treated to free hospitality drinks from Silo District tenants including Clemengold gin and tonics served at Kirsten Goss until 7pm, L’Avenir wine and bubbly served at Glasshouse until 6.30pm, and wine served at The Guild until 7pm.
