Show is a celebration of Yiddish

Caely-Jo Levy

In his second tour of South Africa, New Yorker Shane Baker once again joins Caely-Jo Levy in the performance Life, Love and Laughter – the Yiddish Way at the Labia Theatre on Sunday September 1, at 7pm.

Shane and Caely-Jo make Yiddish accessible to a whole new audience.

Shane is an actor, comedian, magician, and all-around entertainer. He also serves as director of the Congress for Jewish Culture, a Yiddish publishing and educational organisation based in New York.

Caely-Jo Levy rediscovered her Jewish identity through Yiddish song.

For her, sharing her newfound appreciation for her cultural heritage, yiddishkeit, with her own generation is paramount.

Tickets cost R150 and can be booked through Webtickets. All proceeds will go to the Cape Jewish Seniors Association (CJSA). For more information, email Diana Sochen
