Noddy at Artscape

Young theatre-lovers will have the opportunity to see Noddy and his friends again at the Artscape Theatre Foyer, until Saturday July 9, at 10.30am. Stagecraft Drama Studio is in full swing with rehearsals for the show.
Noddy, played by Lia Sachs, a wooden toy who nods his head, is very lonely at Mr Carver, the toymaker’s workshop, so he runs away to Toyland. There, he bumps into Big Ears who wants to know who he is as he does not look like a toy. Only toys are allowed to stay in Toyland. The audience must decide whether Noddy is a toy or not. Before the performance, children can take part in activities such as face painting, colouring in, puzzles and there will be play tents and bikes to ride. On Monday July 4, they can dress up as their favourite Noddy character.
This production is directed by Cheryl Abromowitz and Caryn Reznik and opens on Monday June 27 at a reduced price of R60. For the rest of the run, tickets are R80 and can be booked at Artscape Dial-a-Seat at 021 421 7695 or Computicket.
