The Cape Town Holocaust and Genocide Centre will host a lecture by Mina Miller, titled Mirror of Memory, on Sunday February 17, at 3pm, at its premises at 88 Hatfield Street. Mina Miller is the child of Jewish Lithuanian refugees from Kovno and Rietavas, and is also the founder of Music of Remembrance. She will speak of how the organisation has honoured Europe’s murdered Jews, and also other groups targeted by the Nazis including homosexuals, Roma, political dissidents, free-thinking artists and intellectuals. She will also share some examples of how music can help keep memories fresh and relevant for generations to come. The event is free to the public, but booking is essential. Refreshments will be served. To book or for more information, call 021 462 5553 or email admin@holocaust.org.za
