International stars at CPO concert

The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) will present a benefit gala with the Friends of Orchestral Music (FOM) on Tuesday July 12 at Artscape, at 7.30pm.

The concert will be conducted by the CPO’s principal guest conductor Bernhard Gueller, and features two international stars, Dutch/English violinist Daniel Rowland and Serbian cellist Maja Bogdanovic who will perform the Brahms Double Concerto.

The concert will begin with the overture from La forza del destino by Verdi and conclude with the Symphony No 5 by Beethoven.

Tickets cost R650 through Computicket or Artscape Dial-A-Seat on 021 421 7695 and include a free printed programme as well as canapes and bubbly from Le Lude, Luc Belaire and Laborie or Appletiser and water.
