■ The second annual South African International Tattoo Convention takes place from Friday March 23 to Sunday March 25 at The Lookout at the V&A Waterfront. There will be 80 artists at the show. If you want to get a tattoo, you can pre-book by emailing the artist directly, before the convention, to start discussing the process, design and tattoo placement. Visit www.southafricantattooconvention.com to find the artists. Walk-ups will also be welcome where you can find an artist at the convention and get small, quick sketches and pieces of work known as “flash” designs without needing to pre-plan or pre-book.
