Fringe Festival brings cultural narratives to life

Tazme Pillay in Out of Bounds.

Rajesh Gopie’s Out of Bounds will be staged at the Cape Town City Hall as part of the Cape Town Fringe Festival, from Friday September 23 to Tuesday September 27.

Twenty-seven characters come to life through two actors in this story of an Indian family transitioning from apartheid into democracy. Lall, the main character, takes us on a journey of laughter, joy and sadness as he dares to travel on the journey of self-discovery.

The production won an Ovation award at this year’s National Arts Festival. It stars Tailyn Ramsamy and Tazme Pillay.

It was adpated and directed by Crizelle Anthony.

Tickets cost R60 or R54 for pensioners, students and block bookings of 10 or more.
