As part of a tour to celebrate 10 years since releasing their first full-length album, Swanesang, Afrikaans rock group Fokofpolisiekar, will perform at The Assembly, 61 Harrington Street, District Six, on Friday August 5. This decade has seen the group’s influence spreading to the inception of popular and award-winning bands, aKING, Die Heuwels Fantasties and Van Coke Kartel, as well as Francois van Coke’s successful solo career. In addition to the tour, to celebrate their decade-old debut, in July the group will be releasing Swanesang on vinyl. Performance time is yet to be confirmed.
