Sailing and water sports enthusiasts are in for a treat when the V&A Waterfront hosts the third annual Cape 31 Invitational Regatta from today to Sunday February 10.
Each of the 11 Cape 31 sailboats has been designed and built in Cape Town with a downwind speed capability of 50 km per hour.
This year, the boats have also attracted international crews from Sweden, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong.
During the regatta the boats will be moored at North Wharf and the public will have free access to view them up close and to speak to the crew. They can also watch the boats depart from the Waterfront each day at 10:15am, returning at 4:30pm depending on weather conditions.
